Now: China PMI Growth Slowing Down

One of the main growth indicators for China economy, Caixin China Manufacturing PMI, shows quite a worrying figure as the indicator shows that the growth in China manufacturing sectors is starting to slow down. The figures in July show the PMI is at 50.4 compared to expectations at 51.5 and the previous figures is at 51.7.

The situation is heavily related to the spreading of the virus. The June PMI show a huge rebound after the lockdown has been lift off but the growth slowdown in July as the fear for a new widespread virus-variant become the main concern for the manufacturing sectors. The current situation can end up worst so far, no official lockdown is announced but the possibility is still there.
